    Accountabilities

    As a Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in the Data-Design process by developing and presenting strategic, data-driven, creative recommendations.

     

    You will be part of the design team at Signal Noise – working collaboratively with the Executive Creative Director, Strategy and Experience Director, Technical Director, the Client Services Director and other senior members of the team to lead projects, challenging the team to create work that genuinely hasn’t been done before. Projects vary widely.

     

    Your primary responsibility will be to lead individual projects and teams as a hands on, creative strategist, that helps to define a program of work for an individual client or clients. Your role will be instrumental in improving the output of the studio as a whole.

     

    You should be a natural storyteller with the ability to distil information, apply insight to create powerful conceptual ideas that capture our client’s imagination and give the design team a firm grounding to work with.

     

    Ideal candidates should have a demonstrated understanding of digital and experiential marketing. Experience / interest in IOT, Transport and the future of cities is a plus. 

     

    A senior strategist needs a wide range of abilities, which will include: 

    • The ability to understand the needs of consumers and target audiences

    • The insight to identify problems and take measures to rectify them
    • The resilience to work across a number of projects and balance a work load
    • An enthusiasm for digital and traditional marketing
    • Gathering data to develop well-informed and effective strategic plans
    • Researching clients to understand them and their objectives
    • Encouraging team members to learn and grow within their role
    • Producing inventive ideas with other members of the creative team
    • Writing clear briefs that inspire team members to create exceptional work
    • Analysing clients to uncover opportunities to stimulate growth
    • Define ethnographic research and contextual design investigations to understand customer behaviors, pain points, needs and aspirations
    • Identify insights from customer research and market analysis
    • Design and facilitate stakeholder workshops to ensure alignment / agreement on vision
    • Lead product definition, roadmap and scope
    • Keep our clients on course with both theoretical and practical product strategy advice
    • Continually, clearly, communicating the product vision for the team and our client

     

      

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

     

    You must have: 

    • 8+ years industry experience as a strategist with some studio or agency experience
    • A good knowledge of the design industry, with particular specialist understanding of technology, data visualisation and innovation
    • A proven ability to produce cutting edge creative work
    • Experience working with developers and designers in a cross-disciplinary environment, collaborating with other practitioners to deliver the best end result
    • A passion for data, data visualisation, visual communication and technology 

    Ideally you’ll also have: 

    • Have experience in a lead role, aligning strategy and execution
    • Be comfortable talking to project stakeholders and clients
    • Have knowledge of visual, interaction and motion design trends that will inform fluent and simple executions that make big statements
