    strategic advisory services for organizations across the healthcare ecosystem. Through the heritage of
    two acquisitions, Bazian and Clearstate, and the EIU's world renowned analytical, macroeconomic and
    policy capabilities, EIU Healthcare is able to provide high quality global healthcare data and insight.

    Within EIU Healthcare, the Health Policy & Clinical Evidence (HPCE) Practice offers independent, specialized health policy analysis and clinical evidence synthesis. The Practice output seeks to drive effective organizational decisions (at a system, population and individual level) and impactful external engagement by interpreting and communicating the implications of underlying health trends.

    Currently we are seeking a highly motivated and talented Business Development Manager in London
    to grow our HPCE practice. The Business Development Manager will be an integral part of the global team to develop new projects and programmes, promote our capabilities, interpret customer needs and present compelling solutions in both the public and private sectors. 


    The Business Development Manager will be an advisor to our clients and drives the creation of strategic
    research programme with our teams.



    How you will contribute:

    • Responsible for meeting HPCE sales targets assigned by Global Director of BD & Consulting and HPCE Head
    • Develop and execute winning sales plans and account strategies, including account mapping, prospecting and maintaining depth and breadth of insights and knowledge on our key accounts.
    • Gain a deep understanding of key accounts’ priorities, strategies, structure and values.
    • Represent EIU Healthcare policy solutions and broader organizational capabilities with clients
      and stakeholders and at external events and gatherings.
    • Be the main point of contact for our clients within The Economist Group, demonstrating a
      strong understanding of their business and policy objectives.
    • Work across various practices areas (i.e., MedTech & Life Science Practice) to identify cross-functional solutions where clients would benefit from commercial consulting services

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for the role are:

    • 5+ years of relevant experience within healthcare (either in public or private sector), with a
      health policy consultancy or agency.
    • Track record of working with clients on complex solutions.
    • Strong health policy networks and knowledge of both global and local health policy trends and issues.
    • Highly analytical, organized and meticulous research skills
    • Confidence, diplomacy and ability to utilize evidence-based approach and knowledge to handle
      unfamiliar topics with ambiguous input, and demanding clients
    • Capacity to interpret client needs, create compelling proposals and manage stakeholders
      through transparent and effective communications
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams with both
      internal and external members (such as subject-matter-experts) and work well with people at all
      levels in an organization
    • Versatility, ability to think both inside and outside of the box; solution driven
    • Passion about all things related to the topic of health
    • Willingness to travel to present at client events or to support sales and business development
