    You will have the opportunity to develop and lead TVC’s integrated comms business. This will include operational running of the client service team, maintaining and stretching the existing client activity; supporting the introduction of new clients and business and delivering against the P&L targets.

     

    The Head of Client Services will also play an active role on the board, coach and develop the team through the sharing of skills, knowledge and expertise. You will also be responsible for staffing, recruitment and resourcing decisions.

    Accountabilities

    How you will contribute:

    • Lead on strategy for clients and campaigns within the division, demonstrating an understanding of client business objectives, target audiences, internal and external politics, and budgetary constraints
    • Lead business development within the division, implementing an organic growth plan that delivers against new business targets; prepare and write proposals and lead pitches for extension of activities with current clients, as well as for introduction of new business
    • Working with New business team to identify potential targets/ opportunities
    • Involvement in key pitches and client service lead where appropriate
    • Responsible for liaison with Content, the Creative Studio and New business to ensure collaborative approach to client opportunities
    • Ensuring Group MD and key stakeholders are regularly updated activity within client service team
    • Board Representative for Client Service Team and responsibility to prepare and present Client Service Board Report
    • Help manage client budgets, including programme costing, budget monitoring, managing profitability of accounts and preparing regular SWOT analysis
    • Manage the Global TVC Client service PNL
    • Ensure the client service pipeline is up to date
    • Ensure reasonable margins are in place
    • Develop and implement processes to ensure consistent client service standards are maintained and to ensure smooth running of the team
    • Mentor and train junior staff within the division, in particular motivate and lead the activities of sector heads
    • Responsible for identifying skills gaps within client service team and developing roles team accordingly
    • Resourcing and staffing across client service team
    • Undertake staff appraisals across client service team
    • Be fully aware of the Company’s terms of business and standard client contract

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role include:

     

    • An ability to contribute to a board and operate as a business director
    • A strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Sound experience of Microsoft Office programmes (including Excel & PowerPoint)
