    We are currently recruiting an Analyst, Africa and Middle East who will be responsible for the production and quality of part of this regions product range. The successful candidate will contribute to all areas of the region’s editorial output. They will undertake economic and political forecasting and analysis for a selection of countries in Africa and The Middle East, demonstrating outstanding editorial standards, intellectual leadership and analytical capability, as well as representing the EIU externally.

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are:

    • Strong working knowledge of MEA region and related countries.
    • A good working understanding of macroeconomic data series and models used in the forecasting procedure
    • Experience in data analysis, quantitative macroeconomic analysis and forecasting (including advanced Excel and forecasting skills).
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
    • Ability to prioritise tasks, organise schedules and meet commitments and deadlines
    • A challenging nature, be self–motivated and enthusiastically take the lead on projects
    • Capacity to innovate and help shape EIU products and services
