    Within EIU Healthcare, the Health Policy & Clinical Evidence Practice offers independent, specialized health policy analysis and clinical evidence synthesis. The Practice output drive effective organizational decisions (at a system, population and individual level) and impactful external engagement by interpreting and communicating the implications of underlying health trends.


    Currently we are seeking to hire a highly motivated and talented senior associate in Singapore to augment our dynamic, award winning global team and growing Health Policy & Clinical Evidence Practice. The Senior Policy Associate will manage a number of projects around evidence based clinical research and health policy analyses that drive effective organizational decisions and impactful external engagement. The position will also entail working to develop new clientele in both the public and private sector by promoting our capabilities, interpreting customer needs and presenting compelling insights.


    How you will contribute

    • Represent EIU Healthcare policy solutions and broader organizational capabilities with clients and stakeholders
    • Lead project teams of healthcare analysts in multi-country engagements for government / NGO / industry clients, with a focus on evidence based analyses such as literature reviews, disease burden, health policy analysis and international benchmarking
    • Design and implement project methodologies, including primary research, literature searches, data analysis, all supporting compelling deliverables and relevant conclusions
    • Liaise with the client during the course of project engagement, including communicating project updates, presenting key milestones, pre-empting project issues and managing different client stakeholders
    • Work with our Business Development Executives to develop "winning" proposals from leads and RFPs generated by interpreting client needs, conceptualizing the project framework, defining clear project approaches and output, and demonstrating EIU Healthcare knowledge
    • Manage and continuously deepen and strengthen client relationships, particularly those private and public sector clients based in the Asia Pacific region
    • Support the Practice Head in identifying and developing new target customers in Asia Pacific through client meetings, collateral creation and event attendance
    • Drive key company initiatives including new solutions development and workflow improvement
    • Develop health specific expertise around key therapeutic areas, policy developments and evidence based analyses

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are

    • A post-graduate degree with a Science, Health or Health Policy focus
    • 5+ years of relevant experience within healthcare (either in public or private sector), with a policy and/or healthcare consulting focus
    • Proven experience in successfully leading teams and delivering a range of evidence-based health-related analyses with qualitative and quantitative components; experience with health economics or burden of disease analyses would be an advantage
    • Knowledge of health policy / system trends and issues; ideal candidate would have exposure to international markets with expertise with those in the Asia Pacific region
    • A track record in successfully developing and delivering relevant research & consulting projects
    • Highly analytical, organized and meticulous research skills
    • Exceptional command of written and spoken English; fluency in additional languages an advantage
    • Effective client management skills and experience liaising with senior executives
    • Confidence, diplomacy and ability to utilize evidence-based approach and knowledge to handle unfamiliar topics with ambiguous input, and demanding clients
    • Capacity to interpret client needs, create compelling proposals and manage stakeholders through transparent and effective communications
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams with both internal and external members (such as subject-matter-experts) and work well with people at all levels in an organization
    • Willingness to travel to present at client events or to support sales and business development activities
    • Versatility, ability to think both inside and outside of the box; solution driven
    • Passion about all things related to the topic of health
