    The Public Policy Consulting practice is an entrepreneurial, high-growth, global team. We are looking for an experienced consultant to manage a team of analysts in Gurgaon and lead client projects. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in team management, project management and experience with research-based consulting programmes. You will work collaboratively within and across teams:  consultants, business development, digital design, and senior leadership. To be successful in the role, you must have a keen interest in global public policy issues and a natural intellectual curiosity.

     

    Accountabilities

    How you will contribute:

     

    Team management

    • Manage a team of analysts, including planning resources for projects and providing oversight and guidance on day-to-day activities.
    • Oversee and manage project staffing for global projects.
    • Coach, train and mentor team members in matters of career and professional development.

     

    Project execution

    • Conceptualise client solutions and develop methodologies and research techniques appropriate to ensure client goals are met.
    • Acts as project manager for multiple client engagements simultaneously.
    • Responsible for final results, quality of the project and overall client satisfaction.
    • Effectively manages project team members, including performance management.
    • Present interim project status and final project deliverables to clients.

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

    The ideal skills for this role are:

    • Strong interest in global public policy issues.
    • At least 5 years’ experience, ideally with 2-3 years in research-based consulting.
    • Team player with strong work ethic and leadership qualities.
    • Relevant degree in Public Policy, International Relations, Economics, Business or related subject; Master’s degree in related fields desired.
    • Experience managing team members and proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
    • Proven track record of effective project management, meeting deadlines under pressure and client management.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to create easy working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to resolve complex and unfamiliar problems in a timely manner and gather/analyse information skillfully.
    • Good communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent English, spoken and written.
