We are modernizing our content authoring system by replacing our existing Drupal 6 and CCI NewsDesk platforms with a modern content authoring tool, CCI CUE. As a Platform Engineer for the Authorising team, you will work within a cross-functional agile team to customize and develop CCI CUE as well as other content authoring tools such as digital asset management systems and custom internal applications. Authoring Platform Engineers will work collaboratively with UX, architects, and devops to design and iterate on the system. This is a rare opportunity to design and implement, the team is specifically chosen for their unique technical expertise, enthusiasm, humility, strategic thinking and communication skills.

    • As part of the Agile Cedar team, develop CUE and related systems to deliver high-priority editorial capabilities
    • Deconstruct editorial-workflow requirements into engineering best practices for our new content authoring system
    • Work closely with UX, QA and Editorial stakeholders to continually test and iterate to ensure an easy to use, high value platform is delivered
    • Code and configure RESTful APIs, content types, and user workflow on CUE. (Primarily GraphQL and XML based configuration)
    • Collaborate with Devops on ensuring resilient and scalable applications

    Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:

    • Eager to learn new things and unintimidated by new technology and complex problems. Can be flexible and adapt to changing projects, requirements and technologies

    • Comfortable working with RESTful APIs and Content Management Systems in a cloud environment
    • Proven track record of teamwork, preferably in an Agile Scrum environment.

    • An Agile, collaborative approach to solution development that relies on creating alignment
