The Economist’s Digital Solutions team is a passionate group of professionals who look after a number of products and services, both facing our readers and The Economist's businesses. We are modernizing our content authoring system by replacing our existing Drupal 6 and CCI NewsDesk platforms with a modern content authoring tool, CCI CUE. The goal of our new content authoring system is to simplify and centralize the tools critical to editorial, integrate with modern applications for content distribution, and enable new opportunities for content development and editorial experience.
As a Authoring Platform Engineer, you will work within a cross-functional agile team to customize and develop CCI CUE as well as other content authoring tools such as digital asset management systems and custom internal applications. Authoring Platform Engineers will work collaboratively with UX, architects, and devops to design and iterate on the system. This is a rare opportunity to design and implement, the team is specifically chosen for their unique technical expertise, enthusiasm, humility, strategic thinking and communication skills.
