EuroFinance is the leading global provider of conferences, training and research on cash management, treasury and risk. Running more than 50 events worldwide, EuroFinance enables treasurers and CFOs to exchange innovative strategies, best practice and expert opinion.

 

We are seeking a Programme and Speaker Manager to provide EuroFinance conferences with relevant and appropriate speakers through research, making outbound calls to potential candidates and to ensure the smooth running beforehand (print and digital), on site and after the event.

Accountabilities

 

 In this role you will be expected to:

  • Conduct in-depth telephone and face-to-face research calls with potential speakers
  • Identify, invite and confirm appropriate speakers for conferences and work with speakers to establish appropriate topics and amend the programme if necessary
  • Brief speakers, panellists, chairmen in advance of the conference and ensure they understand how the conference works, what we expect of them and what they can expect of us
  • Liaise with sponsors on their session choices, backed up by appropriate member of sales team and also to ensure guest speakers meet stringent speaking standards
  • Liaise with other departments to co-ordinate activities across the company
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate information is in the printed brochure and online. Proof read, sign off and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Travel to and oversee conferences (Global 4-8 times per year), provide speaker assistance and support, conduct further research, manage client relationships and assist event managers where required
  • Identify and action revenue generating opportunities
  • Ensure speaker budget is kept to and appropriate arrangements are made for speakers
  • Entertain speakers and network, building new relationships with other delegates at events
  • Collate the speaker presentations to ensure that there is no overlap in content and confirm that guidelines have been adhered to
  • Maintain research database and EBMS database, ensuring information is kept up to date at all times

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have:

  • Experience in customer service/call centre is essential.
  • Being comfortable in picking up the phone is key as there will be a lot of outbound calls required
  • Some understanding or experience of events would be beneficial
  • Good/intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and the Internet
  • Fluency in English is necessary; other languages, would be very advantageous
