Currently we are seeking a Region Commercial Finance Partner to join our global circulation team. The three key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Commercial finance business partnership to the Head of Region
  • Prepare accurate, robust and timely forecasts, budgets, and any other analysis to support the monthly and annual planning cycles
  • Identify and implement improvements to the financial reporting and FP&A processes, methodologies, tools and systems that will improve accuracy, rigour and timeless of financial information provided to the business



 How you will contribute:

  • Finance business partner to the circulation leadership team
  • Manage the subscription forecast from cloud based forecast platform including variance analysis versus Budget and previous forecast.
  • Work closely with the marketing team on defining the key forecast assumptions
  • Critically analyse the forecast and challenge assumptions.
  • Take a lead role in maximising the profit optimisation of the region
  • Manage the regional forecast including the forecast submission to the Global team
  • Identify, analyse and explain the risks and opportunities in the forecast
  • Ad Hoc duties/ analysis as required

Experience, skills and professional attributes

The ideal skills for this role are:  
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Professional Finance qualification (eg ACA, CIMA, ACCA) as well as relevant experience
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and a strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and financial systems
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Experience with cloud based forecast platform desirable but not essential
  • Strong skills in communication, motivation, and interpersonal relations
  • A proven record in building relationships and lines of communication across functions
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills
  • Strong ownership and leadership skills
  • Must be persuasive in the presentation of analysis
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team orientated environment
