We are re-imagining how to better serve our customers and improve the efficiency of our operations. To that end, we are redesigning our processes (everything from e-commerce to customer service) and upgrading our technology to provide a stronger customer experience and a more seamless platform to connect our physical and multi-format digital content.

To lead this effort, we are seeking a proactive Senior Vice President, Operations, to implement best practices across all our operations, with an objective to deliver a customer experience that matches the high quality of our journalism.


We are looking for a leader with experience working with marketing teams who define campaigns, growth goals and briefs, and also digital teams who are shaping the technology strategy to create scalable, efficient and customer-focused processes. In addition, they will provide leadership and vision for our existing in-house operations specialists, who already support our production and distribution.





In the role you would be expected to:


  • Bring together all colleagues with operational responsibilities into a single global department that follows best practices
  • Define and refine all operations that enable us to run our business, helping us reduce churn
  • Build and track a set of board-level key performance indicators that show we are improving our customer experience and strengthening our operations
  • As a centre of operations excellence, inspire and collaborate with internal business partners to ensure they work effectively with the operations team
  • Ensure our external partners consistently meet their service level agreements and if not, help recruit and on-board alternative providers

  • Excellent written and spoken English

Ideally, the candidate will also have:


  • Marketing experience including email campaigns
  • Experience using SalesForce
  • Experience selling and supporting subscription products
