Currently we are seeking an Online Ad Operations Manager EMEA, who will be responsible for managing a team of campaign managers, as well as the booking, delivering, and reconciling of all online camapigns, across all delivery platforms (On and Off-Domain) in their respective vertical.  This role is also charged with providing campaign insight, product support, inventory and pricing information to the sales teams, as well as being responsible for accurate end of campaign reconciling and reporting.

Accountabilities

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Manage a team of campaign managers
  • Provide technical insight, guidance, and support to the campaign managers and sales teams
  • Provide sales team with product, pricing, and inventory insight across all platforms
  • Work with Media Strategists to setup proposals in our order management system
  • Ensure the media plan presented is compliant from inventory and pricing perspectives as well as The Economist creative guidelines, and meets overall client objectives
  • Be the sales team's first point of contact for any questions or concerns regarding inventory, delivery, and billing
  • Proactively review campaigns assets (Creatives, I.Os and tags), identify potential errors, and troubleshoot as necessary
  • Proactively manage campaign delivery to minimize revenue loss due to under delivery across all platforms
  • Setup new products and packages in the order management tool
  • Interact with agency/client to ensure precise delivery of advertising campaigns
  • Recommend and implement optimizations based on campaign performance and inventory availability
  • Hold a detailed understanding of inventory, and advise the business on how to drive the most yield out of inventory across all platforms
  • Assist the sales teams with booking requests (providing alternative options to close deals) during high sell through phases
  • Provide business reporting, as required, to help make product and pricing decisions
  • Oversee billing and reconciliation process for assigned campaigns

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have: 

  • Experience in digital advertising
  • Managing a team
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders
  • Expert knowledge of digital ecosystem
  • Understanding of inventory management and advertising operations best practices
  • Understanding of Yield management as well as programmatic advertising and trading platforms hugely beneficial
  • Understanding of site ad tagging and 3rd party ad serving
  • Microsoft Excel (high level of proficiency required)
  • Expert working knowledge of DSM/DFP/Operative.One including prior trafficking experience in DFP is required
  • Basic HTML/CSS experience/understanding is desirable
  • An understanding of how rich media and standard advertising formats are trafficked
  • Troubleshooting ad tags, as well as the tracking pixels etc.
