Currently we are seeking a Payment Optimisation Manager to act as the expert, responsible for ensuring optimised processes and contractual arrangements are in place for the Group to secure the acceptance online payments.

Accountabilities

In the role you will be expected to:

  • Manage relationship with payment gateways, credit card acquirers, payment aggregators including negotiation of commercial terms and contracts
  • Analyse and review the costs of payment processing and take action to manage and reduce those cost
  • Analyse monthly transaction data from acquiring platforms to develop strategy, in conjunction with marketing teams to reduce decline rates and chargebacks
  • Reduce decline rates and chargebacks
  • Liaise with technology and marketing teams to help manage payment projects from design through to rollout
  • Develop payments processes to maximise efficiency
  • Comply with acquirer and credit card scheme rules
  • Maintain database of merchant identification numbers
  • Regularly monitor transaction data to ensure any significant increases in chargebacks is flagged early
  • Roll out new payment processes internationally e.g. Paypal, China Union Pay
  • Implement effective fraud tools
  • Conduct ongoing market analysis to keep abreast of the latest trends in payment optimisation
  • Continuously develop and produce global reports detailing key payment KPIs for actionable insight

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have:

 

  • Strong academics
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of online payments, banking and payments processing
  • Proven ability in identifying and recommending improvements that demonstrate ROI
  • Dealt with international payment methods (local credit cards, bank transfers, etc.)
  • A forward and dynamic thinking individual
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and personal integrity
