We are looking for an ambitious selling ‘Game Changer’ to expand the scale of our footprint across the globe growing our second rights and syndication business.  You will become a part of our iconic brand, joining us at our London or New York City office  with the specific challenge of using your unique blend of an inquisitive mind, well-honed consultative approach to selling,  and unquenchable thirst for success and development, to sell our portfolio of Macro-Economic and Political solutions to second rights partners.

Accountabilities

As a Content Licensing Manager you will take charge and leverage your own skills and that of vast array of world class business professionals at the EIU, to significantly drive our commercial success. Your natural instinct to ‘hunt’ will be key.  This role is tailored for those who seek to relentlessly pursue sales success in a competitive and high profile marketplace.

 

In the role you will be expected to:

  • Work with the Global Director of Client Services and Content Licensing and other stakeholders to develop and personally execute an aggressive new partner acquisition plan worldwide
  • Develop and sustain an aggressive personal pipeline of new client opportunities
  • Manage the whole sales cycle from prospecting through to closing the sale
  • Take ownership of your remit as if it was your own business
  • Manage and develop some of the existing relationships with electronic partners and content provides
  • Prepare, review and negotiate contracts with electronic partners and content providers
  • Travel around the world to deliver your commitment

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have:

  • Solid experience in selling to the business to business information market
  • Proven track record in new business development
  • Demonstrable experience of closing complex six figure deals
  • The confidence to approach people at all levels of seniority

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • An inquisitive but structured mind
  • Hunger and motivation to drive revenues
  • Fluency in another language other than English would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of electronic publishing, online databases and e-commerce
  • Superior business and negotiation skills
