The Economist is seeking someone with strong numerical and critical reasoning skills to join our Data Team as a Data Analyst. Our Data Team is a central source of data skills and technology working across all parts of the business. As part of this team you will be studying the behaviour of our customers, understanding how our website and mobile products are being used and helping to set the roadmap for future product development.
In this role you will take responsibility for data from one of The Economist’s main products. You will work with product managers, developers, business stakeholders and editors to make sure they receive relevant data and insights. You will make sure we’re measuring the right things and have a clear view of what’s really happening. Your work and the opportunities you identify will help the team decide how our products should develop.
Prior experience of SQL databases or data analysis in a commercial setting would be advantageous but are not required for this position, and applications from those looking for their first role in this field are welcome. We are primarily seeking a self-motivated individual, with an aptitude for reasoning about numerical data and strong communication skills.
