Currently we are seeking an Events Manager who will be responsible for the effective planning, staging and delivery of conferences and events for EuroFinance, achieved within set time frames and budgets to agreed standards.


This is a 11-month maternity cover position.


In the role you would be expected to:

  • Monitor individual budgets for all events directly responsible for, working creatively to maintain cost control and quality of event, including negotiating with venues, suppliers, contractors etc., to ensure costs are kept in line with budget
  • Manage all assigned event elements; exhibition, speakers, delegates, venue and prepare the event materials.
  • Manage the on-site team at all assigned events
  • Liaise with sales, marketing, registration and production teams as necessary, to ensure all elements work smoothly and efficiently together
  • Collate exhibitor manual and online conference guide for each event
  • Manage signage design and production
  • Plan and co-ordinate of conference programme (once written) – location of stream rooms, exhibition, refreshments breaks, signage etc.
  • Manage for Speakers – audio-visual requirements; flights and accommodation etc
  • Sponsor and exhibitor liaison - contract fulfillment; stand allocation; signage; queries
  • Manager travel and accommodation of on-site team
  • Ensure attendance at events as required
  • Plan and organise social events

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have:

  • Min. 2-years experience gained in the events industry
  • Good command of English (written and spoken) essential and a second language preferred
  • Ability to plan, drive and manage different projects simultaneously
  • Willingness and ablilty to take on cost management responsibility
  • Ability to juggle and meet deadlines, cope well under pressure
  • Proactive, result driven and creative approach to work
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, able to perform effectively in an international environment
  • Attention to detail, analytical, organised, initiative and be a good team player
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • PC literacy - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management, In design

To succeed in the role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of Event execution, working with sales teams and clients, event organizers, AV & logistics suppliers.
  • Solid working knowledge of event products, production and logistics
  • Comfort managing customer database software and familiarity with new event technology and apps
  • Experience of Project management and client management 
  • Ability to effectively influence peers & senior stakeholders
  • Ablilty to manage multiple projects and prioritize heavy workload
  • Can-do attitude with effective time management skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to fulfil flexible working hours during busy periods; ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work in a team
  • Understanding of department needs and objectives
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
