Signal Noise is a design studio for a data driven age. We began in 2010 with 3 Founders, and we are now a team of 34 based in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford East London. Our clients include UBS, Wired Magazine, The Economist, 
The Guardian, BCG, Open Systems, Formula One and Trading Screen to name a few.
We create data visulisations, tools and dashboards and our clients include Accenture, EE and Unilever. Acquired by The Economist Group in October 2016. This partnership will enable us to step up the innovative and disruptive quality of the visual data storytelling we produce for our clients, and to create cutting edge content and tools for a data-driven age.


We are searching for an Information Designer to join the Information design team lead by our Design Director and work alongside some of the best information designers in the industry. The projects you will work on will range from static information design, interactive data visualisations, animations and physical data led installations and experiences.



In this role you will be expected to:


• Ensure projects are delivered against agreed timelines and budgets
• Work on both live projects and proposals
• Ensure that the project objectives are met and that work is to a high standard
• Carry out accurate time-sheeting on a daily basis


Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in this role you must demonstrate:


  • That Illustrator is your native language, and that InDesign is second
  • Experience in Photoshop for photo editing
  • Working knowledge of HTML CSS 
  • Experience in After-effects / Sketch a bonus
  • That you care that things make sense and you take pride in your work
  • That you ask why. A lot
  • That you believe that form follows function
  • That you have an eye for detail, balance, contrast, rhythm, tension, surprise and intrigue
  • That you believe in your ideas
  • You are obsessive about type and naturally inquisitive. You question the brief, yourself and others
