As Marketing Automation Specialist you will be the EIU’s Marketo super user, training colleagues when needed and working alongside stakeholders across the various product areas. You will work with colleagues from different functional groups, including marketing, analytics, database, digital solutions and customer services to establish and enhance operational processes, execute email campaigns and report on performance.


In the role you would be expected to:

  • Serve as the EIU’s Marketo expert and work with colleagues to implement marketing activities
  • Create, deploy, and monitor demand generation and nurturing marketing campaigns
  • Schedule trigger and automated email communications to meet campaign objectives
  • Build and maintain lead capture forms and landing pages to support acquisition and engagement
  • Manage the lead scoring process to ensure qualified leads are being identified
  • Liaise with Marketo Support to resolve bugs and answer questions
  • Enhance knowledge of Marketo functionality and release of product upgrades
  • Analyse campaign results to improve and refine existing processes and programmes
  • Report campaign results to the business to provide insight on performance
  • Collaborate with other teams in Global Marketing providing support and training as needed

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within a similar role
  • Experience of working in an international environment
  • Expertise in marketing automation platforms (ideally Marketo certified)
  • Experience working within a CRM database ( preferred)
  • Understanding of different B2B audiences, segmentation and targeting
  • Solid understanding of running email marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, email deliverability and data privacy compliance
