We are currently recruiting a Data Quality Analyst  to work in the BI (Business Intelligence) team within our Global Digital Solutions department. The BI team is responsible for managing the data ecosystem of the group and providing tools and technology to deliver insights to our global businesses. In this role you will be responsible for defining, implementing and enforcing data quality standards across all data flows within this program. This will include establishing and monitoring potential data quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed and distributed.

Accountabilities

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Define and refine KPIs required to identify data completeness and accuracy across both data migration (from Legacy to new platform) as well as BI processes (from data capture to delivery)
  • Automate processes to track data quality metrics and proactive alerting capability
  • Help with data profiling and standardisation across multiple sources
  • Work with delivery team and business stakeholders to define and execute test plans and seek implementation signoff
  • Provide regular updates to project team on quality assurance and user acceptance tasks and results
  • Help coordinate and resolve data quality issues identified during integration and user acceptance testing
  • Develop data quality strategy, framework and standards required for administering data quality post go-live

 

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have:

  • A graduate degree (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience using SQL to analyse data and draw conclusions from it
  • Proven track record of delivering data quality solutions in complex projects (agile and waterfall) and environments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with users at all levels within the organisation
  • Ability to build strategic working relationships to facilitate and accomplish set objectives
  • Strong organization skills with ability to understand and apply new technologies and concepts quickly
  • Excellent collaborative skills with ability to exhibit flexibility as well as diplomacy to stand his / her ground when necessary
  • A highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction

 

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Best practices and standards for monitoring data quality
  • Data quality tools and processes
  • Data analysis & reporting tools

 

It would also be desirable if you have:

  • Certification in data quality such as DMBOK etc.
  • Media industry experience
  • Experience in data quality tracking and test automation tools
